Zebra Moon Hostel in Greyton is a joint venture between Uitkyk Primary School and Zebra Moon.Zebra Moon will manage the hostel,and aim to increase the occupancy of the Hostel to the benefit of both parties.
This partnership started on 01 August 2008 and Zebra Moon has started renovating the building.The focus in the beginning will be essential maintainance (damaged rooves,cleaning,fixing doors and light fittings) and livening-up the building with a palette of brighter colours.
To help with this our friend, artist and creative wizz Louise Milan came from KZN to help select paint colours and to help with decor ideas.
New mattrasses, sheets,blankets and duvets have been put into rooms and dorms.
Zebra Moon Hostel aims to continue to serve school groups,for which the hostel offers an affordable base from which to learn about our area(history,environment,agriculture) whilst staying in a beautiful setting on the outskirts of idyllic Greyton.
Backpackers or travellers who search out clean,affordable,safe and friendly places to stay will also find Zebra Moon a haven.The primary attractions being hiking,mountain biking,horse riding or just plain chilling after the rigours of the road or city.
